This my case history only to externate my experience and to point out bad service from italian Netgear customer care: when I asked please can you buy for me this power supply and I will pay you shipping cost they answered : "sorry impossible".

your serial number is within the range of the affected psu as described here:

call italian techsupport again and tell them to look at this thread and replace your powersupply.. if they dont want to let them escalate it to someone who does. if your serial is within the range described in above thread the powersupply gets replaced, without regards to the status of warranty.
