It is easy to change the fan and I would be happy to spend a few bucks to get a more silent unit even with a fan running at 2100 rpm.
But I don't fell like choosing only reading the tech specification of fans.

- Some models of the Scythe S-Flex fans are very quiet. They come in various CFM/noise specs.
- SilenX IXP-64 fans with the forward swept blades are the quietest I have found for the 92 mm size used by the NV+. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835191011
Note that I make no claims about reliability. I have never seen one of the above fan types fail but I have hardly installed enough to build any kind of decent statistics.
