Could some Jedi Council member please provide current status on this issue? In this very long thread, we have three recommendations: An add-in that increases the fan speed (and the noise) - maybe still valid, maybe not, may not even be available; a fan reversal procedure, described in a file that is no longer available; and replacement of either the fan or the PSU, I'm not sure which.
I recently discovered that my NV+ is in the affected range. I called the NETGEAR service line and opened a service call. The support person I spoke to acknowledged the problem and indicated that Netgear would send a replacement. He transfered me to the RMA department, where the person I spoke to told me that the unit was out of warrantee, she couldn't set anything up, but she asked her manager about it and the manager would call me back. No one has called back yet (though it's only been a couple of days).
