Service Action to Prevent PSU Failures in ReadyNAS NV/NV+

Well, looks like I've been bitten by the ol' "dead PSU issue" too. I woke up at 4am this morning, went to let the cat out (literally) and thought - Hmmmm, the loungeroom is a bit quiet. Pressed the button on the ReadyNAS NV+ (sn: 000DA2015CF7) and no life. Tried again, as you do and still no go. Unplugged the mains plug, no go. Moved to another power point in the kitchen and a different cable from the spares cupboard, no go.

I've had no indications of over heating etc, there are no major burning smells from the unit, but it seems fairly cut and dried to me. The unit rarely gets turned off and has caused me no issues in the past, so I suppose I can't complain too loudly. It's damned scary though, suddenly losing access to all of my data.

Anyway, I have logged an online ticket (10660963) and we'll see what happens. Being in Australia (and Western Australia at that), I assume that my best option is to buy a replacement PSU from the Google page reference that someone posted a while ago. Should I buy 2? :roll:
