I would wait to hear what support says. I know that some regional Netgear offices (like over here in North America) are replacing the PSU free of charge.
The worst they can say is "no" and if you press them on the issue you may get it replaced at no charge (especially since the PSUs are still being replaced in some regions, regardless of warranty status).
