There's a five year warranty on all NetGear (not Infrant) branded NV+ purchased on or after Aug 21, 2007.
If your NAS is out of warranty in some regions they'll still replace the PSU if it's in the range affected by the fault.
But yeah people can buy the PSU if there NAS is out of warranty and not in the faulty range.
