Shares/Volumes not detected on ReadyCloud since upgrading firmware
I recently bought this NAS device in hopes for easy setup and use but having nothing but issue even thought I followed the direction via the setup video. It is not working as shown in the video.
Along with this device, via Amazon, I also purchased two separate, 2 TB Red Drives which the NAS is not detecting any shares/volumes. It recognizes the device but not the drives. I even tried resetting to factory defaults in hopes to get it working but still to no avail. Also it won't let me access the admin page either but I can only access the NAS when logging into my router and clicking on the ready cloud link.
Please advise ASAP as I don't want to have to return this seemingly useless device.
Thank you.

Is your problem specifically with ReadyCloud, or is it with the NAS?
Can you install RAIDar on a PC, and then post a screenshot of the status it is showing for your NAS? https://kb.netgear.com/20684/ReadyNAS-Downloads#raidar
You have complimentary phone support for 90 days after purchase. So you could also use that (via my.netgear.com).

Can't tell if its a NAS issue or Ready cloud, as I can see the device in Ready Cloud and I see the drive 1 & 2 lit up on the NAS but according to the ready cloud site, it says it has no shares or volumes nor can I access the admin page. I tried to install raidar but got an hard stop error message saying it wont let me as I need to install java or something.
Ok I will try the phone support when I get home tonight, as a last ditch effort. But there is a very high probability that I will return this device, for a drobo, which I have used in the past and was very simple to use.

Try accessing the NAS directly when you are at home.
https://nas-ip-address/admin should get you to the web admin interface (using the actual ip address of course). You'll need to click through the security warnings, and then you should see the username/password prompt.
You can also try accessing the NAS from file explorer (windows) and finder (mac). For windows, enter \\nas-ip-address in the file explorer address bar. Be careful on the slash direction.
