Thanks for pointing out I have downloaded the wrong file. I'm extremely tired these days, all help welcome as I will probably be making mistakes.
Wasn't sure about the diks/format thing. Didn't really think too hard about it, figured it'd need to be in a format dos would read. But maybe it doesn't need to be formatted to run patch with dos. I guess we'll find out if we have to.
Does anyone know if the Duo is running on IDE or not?
Jedis, need some force here it you've got it about this IDE thing. Would stop this problem straight away.
airs and eco001, as you two seem on the ball with this Samsung bug/patch thing, do you think you can suss how to patch up correctly? And explain all?
I've got an xp machine to execute this patch, but I'm a mac user. So not familiar any more with such tech as dos anymore. Was better at it when I was 13 on an old Atari XL I believe.

I've just checked the file I'd downloaded, and it was an .exe file indeed. If it aint gone already, my brains going..
