From my minimal experiments with egnyte, I don't think it will work with databases, VM's or any other that needs real-time low-latency multiple-user simultanious access. It is also not designed to share out your entire nas, just specific portions you load into the cloud sync folder.
Office files and stuff that is mostly static but may be updated at both locations should work fine.

dtwarfield, the Egnyte addon on your ReadyNAS allows bi-directional synchronization between multiple devices. Egnyte continuously syncs data between devices through our cloud file server.
