Tired upgrading RN-102 to latest firmware, it seems bricked...
My RN10200 stoped working with Time Machine, i thought this might be due to firmware (unlikely i haven't updated anything on my Mac or NAS). Anyway i decided to update it, as it hadn't been updated before and i thought it would be best to have it at the latest firmware if i was to reset the NAS.
I upgraded my RN10200 from 6.1 to 6.4 then it refused to upgrade to 6.5.1. It still didn't work so I followed the instructions on the support pages that said to upload the firmware file into the apps folder and then reboot when the 'done uploading' message pops up. (could find the page again, i'll link if i do)
I did this...
It never booted.
When I try to boot it, it says system starting on RAIDar, after a while it says corrupt root.
I've tried factory reset and OS-reinstall using several usb sticks. I can't think of anything else to do and I can't find a similar case anywhere else.
Does anyone know what could be wrong with the system or what I could do to fix it.
Cheers guys :)

Have you checked your disks to see if one of them is bad?
You can hook them up to your PC and test a SeaGate disk using SeaTools or a WD disk using WD Data LifeGuard Diagnostics

Sorry I should have mentioned.
both the disks are working fine and it's been tested with a different disk as well, with no result...- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee Retired
Using the upload button on the apps tab is for installing apps.
For installing firmware there is an option under System > Settings > Update to manually install a firmware update.
