TWO ReadyNAS NV+(s) v1 available to a new home...
Have two NV+ available (original Netgear post Infrant v1s), upgraded to 1G, set aside drive less, were working fine after being upgraded to 4.1.15.
If you send me a prepaid shipping label link, I'd be willing to pay for =good= packaging.
Would hate for them to end up as eWaste if someone can repurpose them.
A HUGE thank you to Tonkinite for sending the spare chassis from USA to UK. No data loss, and everything also backed up to an external USB 3TB disk.
You have saved my life!!

Thank you for being considerate about eWaste and such, although I do not think that support would be able to send a shipping label for that unit. You can probably check 3rd party electronic stores that might be able to refurbish the unit.

There's no warranty for second hand units (but in any case these units would be out of warranty by now).
The NV+ v1 is using the same CPU as a product released back in February 2006. It's pretty old hardware now and End of Life. At this point unless you're looking for parts to repair a unit you already have or would prefer to move your disks across from a dead NV+ v1 to another one I'd recommend buying a new ReadyNAS.Even the most cost effective of our current models are much faster than the NV+ v1 was.
I'm offering these to anyone in the Community, not to Netgear. If anyone still is using these units, they would be handy as backup spare chassis, spare parts etc. I was using them until 9 months ago, so others may be as well.

The problem is that I am living in Stockholm, Sweden
Currently no takers on my offer, will leave this thread open for another month or so.
After that, Green Drop or an online buyer might be interested, we'll see.
Does this mean there is a spare NV+ v1 chassis still available?

Two, actually.
paggen was able to successfully recover his data (thankfully) and no longer needs one.
Same deal applies:
• Will package and ship via UPS (best possible tracking)
• Create a new, discardable email address, post it here and I will email to it requesting your address, phone #, etc.
Earliest I will be able to ship is tomorrow morning (US ET, UTC - 5).
So, ONE ReadyNAS NV+ available to a new home...
