Ultra 2 Health Log in Frontview
I recently purchased an Ultra 2 Plus and currently have only one 2TB Hitachi Deskstar drive loaded. I was looking at the Health log in Frontview and was wondering what the difference is between the Temp CPU and Temp SYS readings. I know what the CPU temp refers to but what is the SYS temp reading monitoring? Here is a copy of the log from my system:
Device Description Status
Disk 1 Hitachi HDS723020BLA642 1863 GB , 27 C / 80 F , Write-cache ON OK
Fan SYS 1117 RPM OK
Temp CPU 71 C / 159 F [Normal 0-80 C / 32-176 F] OK
Temp SYS 28 C / 82 F [Normal 0-65 C / 32-149 F] OK
UPS 1 CPS UPS CP850AVRLCD , Battery charge: 100%, 77 minutes OK

- KillerBobAspirantThe SYS temp is simply another measurement of temperature on the main logic board in the Ultra 2.
The single 92x25mm fan in the unit is what is measured in the RPM.
