Ultra 2 PLUS for Squeezebox streaming

I plan to boot up my new Ultra 2 Plus tonight. After the factory boot, which configures the new disc, I plan to copy a few music file from my Duo to the Ultra and then run SqueezeCenter in order to test it out. Assuming all goes well, I thought I'd just copy/paste my other files. Is there a downside to that as opposed to a "recovery" function. I'm not tech savvy, so copy/paste seems easier.
