Ultra 4 + OS6.9.5: biggest supported HDD?

Hi,

I know I have legace hardware, but it's running newest OS greatly. Do you have any clue what would biggest supported disks be? 8TB? 12TB? 16TB?

Thanks.

  • Hi mrQQ

All actual OS 6 devices are able to run at any capacity including legacy units running on OS 6 they shouldn't have a limit but there are some rackmount legacy unit that has a limit with capacity.

This means if you are running OS 6, you can use the largest capacity without any problem though RN100 or RN200 units might have performance impact when running large capacity disks e.g Sync time etc

    Hope this helps!

    Regards

  • Something well beyond what is currently available.  Netgear has not given an official number.
