Unexpected RAID Sync on Volume C
If anyone can offer any suggestions as to why this has happened I'd be most grateful
My ReadyNAS is set up to start in the morning, and shut down late each night. Never been an issue. Only historical issue I've had was an unexpected power outage where I just had to bite the bullet and wait for it to sort itself out, which it did. I've added a UPS since then, which has been a good addition.
So this morning I've got a log entry telling me RAID Sync has started on C.
Going to the Frontview console, there are no indications of any problems at all, all indicators are green both before today and currently
Kit is
ReadyNAS Duo
Seagate Barracuda 1TB x2
RAIDiator 4.1.14
I'll let it run its course but any ideas why this has happened or whether this is the beginning of a problem?
Cheers!

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserI'd check the SMART stats for both disks, and also look at the logs.

Thanks for that. I'd forgotten there was some more detail in the SMART+ option. I can't see anything there that really grabs my attention. The only one that seems abnormal is a single High Fly Write on 1 disk. All the other parameters that suggest errors etc. are fine.
Also the Frontview logs are green all the way. Are there other logs I can access directly via the file system maybe?
