Volume lost after failed drive replacement trying to recover data
OS 6.6.1
Original setup 2x3TB mirrored
Replaced one 3TB with a new 6TB last week, this went fine and let the new drive finish rebuilding.
Got another 6TB today, same model, and proceeded to replace 3TB, but the new drive is defective and froze the system. I waited a few hours to see if it could recover, but I couldn't access admin, shares, or any apps, so I pulled the power and rebooted.
After reboot, the existing 6TB volume is no longer recognized. I tried replacing the original 3TB pairs to see if those would still work and they don't. The drives are recognized and I have the option to format them.
Did I completely destroy raid on these drives?
I tried https://community.netgear.com/t5/ReadyNAS-in-Business/OS6-Data-Recovery-How-to-Mount-BTRFS-Volumes/td-p/895558 using a SATA to USB and none of the scans turned up anything. I did the drives individually since I only have one SATA to USB adaptor. This was done on Linux Mint 17.2 xfce64 with latest apt-get.
Any chance of recoving the data?
Thanks.
The two 3TB disks would now be out of sync with each other. You could perhaps power off the system and try booting with just one disk, just one 3TB disk in the NAS with the other slot empty.

Thanks! The 3TB part of the 6TB/3TB pair still works when loaded by itself. Doesn't contain any data from the week, but no big deal.
