WD20EARX-00PASB0
Hi,
I have bought a ReadYNAS Ultra 6000 and installed 3 Westerd Digital WD20EARX-00PASB0 drives.
Since they are not on the HCL I wanted to know if there is anyone who has this setup running and if there are problems with it.
Are there settings I need to change like TLER,....
I've been reading a lot on this forum but since it's a recent ReadyNAS and disks I'm not sure anymore this is still necessary.

- humaninterfaceAspirantare the three disks working??
- RaelisAspirantI would like to know this as well. i got the readynas 4 ultra+ and have purchased 2 of these models: WD20EARX-00PASB0 but the NAS just says ERR: Could not mount root raid d.
I also have a 2tb seagate : ST2000DM001 which cant work either pls help.
damn should never have bought these discs on discount just before the thailand flood :( they dont even seem to work with the nas -.- - ReadySECUREApprenticeHello,
Some of the disks that are not on our compatibility list do work but show issues when anything disk intensive is going on, like syncing a drive. Sometimes incompatible drives just drop out of the array randomly, so if they do work at first just keep in mind there is a reason for the compatibility list. Use with caution!
- http://www.readynas.com/?page_id=82 - RaelisAspirantwill it be compatible in the future? or wont it even be able to fix with a update, from either you or the HDD manufacture?
- winglessangel07Aspirantif I am not mistaken, WD20EARX is a direct replacement to the WD20EADS since Western Digital is no longer in production.
- RaelisAspirantanyway i went straight to my IT-Supporter today, he told me it shouldn't be a problem at all, if i just reformatted it using the software from readynas, where is this software? definitely not on the CD-ROM :S
EDIT : in fact he gave me the "are you stupid?" look when i told him my problem. TBH i have never heard of this myself, perhaps if i were going to use the raid-2x or whatever it is called that readynas have pre-config. but i want to use a raid5
EDIT 2 : and sorry for taking over the thread.
