- xeltrosApprenticeDid you enable ReadyNAS remote access on the NAS ?
Did you set rights properly (on ready cloud.netgear.com) ?
EDIT : it seems that you have an older NAS so you don't have those options unless you forced the update to OS6, sorry, I didn't check the model before posting. - metrixtechAspirantWhat a coincidence?! After working just fine on my iPhone and iPad for quite a while, my ReadyNAS Remote quit working yesterday on my iPhone and iPad under the EXACT SAME scenario as Damien89 described. I can still access the storage device via ReadyNAS Remote running on a Windows-based laptop so the remote username is correct and active. Thoughts?
Thanks. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredDid you recently update your iPhone/iPad to a newer version of iOS?
- metrixtechAspirantI did not.
- Damien89AspirantNeither did i.
- metrixtechAspirantDamien... if you figure this one out, please post the solution. I'll do the same. Thanks.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredPerhaps try restarting your iPhone.
Note that some of our servers are being updated so it's possible that that could be why this is currently not working. - xeltrosApprenticeRestarting the iPhone may not be enough.
You should try to quit the app (double tap the home button, swipe up (or click the "-" for older versions). You should do this for all apps in case your are having memory problems or a conflict between two apps.
There is also an old trick, press and maintain the home button, then press and maintain the lock button until you see the boot logo. There was a time where this cleaned caches, not sure if it still does.
Do you use specific DNS settings on either the windows device that works or the phone/ipad ? Did you use the same connection to test (some providers block some services) ? - metrixtechAspirantThanks for the suggestions. Still no luck. I'm still convinced there is something going on with Netgear. Both the iPhone and iPad quit working at the same time... two remote users who don't know each other having the exact same problem... all at the same time. This is too much of a coincidence.
