Restarting par/unrar process on SABNZBD
Hi,
I am using SABNZBD on my NVX pro pioneer.
The unit had to restart after power loss and now has 130Gb of rar and par files waiting for the SABNZBD to process.
However that doesn't process it, it doesn't seem to know of its existence.
If i just upload the same nzb again it just starts to download the whole 45gb per movie again.
Is there some way to tell the SABNZBD to start processing the rar/par files again?

- MichaelR64Aspirantnobody ?
Seems like this forum is loosing its appeal to some members perhaps ? - WhoCares_MentorIn what directory are the files from the interrupted process? In the incomplete dir? If so, the best you can do is manually unpack the stuff and move it to the completed dir. I don't think SABnzbd has a restart mechanism for interrupted tasks.

Offcourse i can move them to my pc for processing but that is defeating the question: the reason for restarting is that i don't want to move 45Gb of data across the lan but just rather persuade my nas to process it again.
Anyway thx for the support, appreciate it ! - WhoCares_MentorWhy would you want to move them to the PC? SSH to the NAS and use unrar/whatever ...

Hah.. assumptions are the mother of all fuckups...
I am a Windows pointy clicky guy.
SSH i do with WINSCP ...
And last time i checked there wasn't a right-click action that said "tell nas to par and unrar it" ...
So any hints as to what to type exactly in SSH would be very much appreciated.. - WhoCares_Mentor

I didn't make any assumption - except maybe that I assumed that all people are able to learn ;)MichaelR64 wrote: I am a Windows pointy clicky guy.

Actually, you don't. With WinSCP you do SCP ;) For SSH you'd need PuTTY (free) or SecureCRT (pay).MichaelR64 wrote: And last time i checked there wasn't a right-click action that said "tell nas to par and unrar it" ...
Hmm. What about just mounting the share where the files are stored and use WinRAR or the like?MichaelR64 wrote: So any hints as to what to type exactly in SSH would be very much appreciated..
If all else fails, we could try this as a last resort, yes :-D
-Stefan - MichaelR64AspirantHmm what does the terminal windo pop-up in winscp do then ?
But i digress, i have Putty as well, scares the living daylights out of me, this gaping black hole ...
Well the point is moot really, i already downloaded it again in the last couple of days.
But i am still interested to know the how and when..
Mounting the share isn't the problem, but that causes the 150Gb of data to be copied over the wire.
Which is a lot even with a gige nic.
Thats why i asked initally, so as not to have to do this.
Thx anyway - WhoCares_MentorWell, not having used WinSCP for ... uh ... more than seven years now, I must admit I may have missed some features :)
Also, black isn't scary, it's just cool. Having said that, the basic commands to manually unpack the files would be:
cd /c/<name of share>/incomplete
unrar x <name of base rar archive file>

Cool thanx... while you're at it ... can you tell me how to repair them with par at the commandline ?
I'll try to enter the black void then next time this occurs:-) - WhoCares_MentorGenerally with
par2 r <name of par2 file>
Optionally you can specify what files to repair. Quite obviously you should be in the directory where the files to be repaired reside before issuing the above command ;)
