- Added daemon argument which directs the server to run in its own
process group- Added usage argument which directs the server to display the set of
valid command-line arguments before exiting - server also prints error
and usage messages before exiting if it detects at least one
unrecognized command-line argument- Added settings finish_cmd and state_cmd to provide a way to invoke
asynchronous processes for torrent lifecycle events- The add torrent dialog in the web UI now allows the user to choose
which download directory to use for the torrent being added- Correct JSON output is now generated for the list-dirs action request
- The name of the directory created by extracting the product archive now
includes utorrent instead of bittorrent- Removed ul_slots_per_torrent setting since it no longer has a function

- zom414AspirantI've installed utorrent on my ultra 4 and created my folders etc. However when I add a torrent I get this error:
[19:11:15] Request failure #1 (will retry in 2 seconds): action=getxferhist
Anyone help me out with this one?
Thanks - super_poussinVirtuosofor me it's a known uTorrent bug try to add the torrnet again
- Rultra4AspirantI got it working,
but sometimes all of a sudden when i try to access the utorrnet i get page failed, it will not load until i restart the NAS.
Any ideas what is going on?
Thanks - chhumperAspirantnew user, so apologies if the documentation is available somewhere and i could not find it...
i followed the directions to try and get utorrent up and running -- setting the directories, etc. however, after uploading a torrent file, one that i know works, i get no activity. however, in transmission, i did the same thing and the file was successfully downloaded (and uploaded). i am familiar with the windows version of utorrent, but not this one so much. as such, i'm at a loss as to what i would need to tweak given that the default transmission add-on settings seem to work perfectly.
thanks to whoever takes the time to help. and again, sorry if this is posted somewhere. i'm eager to follow some sort of "getting started" guide, if it exists. just point me in the right direction.
many thanks. - yomarkAspirantchhumper: https tracker maybe?
https is not supported in utorrent server at the moment. - chhumperAspirantyup. probably right. thank you! would it have worked with Transmission, though? does that support https trackers?
also, a semi-unrelated question: utorrent for the readynas seems to allow me the option of entering proxy information. is there any reason why this would not work as it does with a windows utorrent versions?
thanks, yomark. very much appreciate the reply. - codemonkeyAspirantplease make a version for the NV+

Not possible - read the whole thread and you will see this has already been addressed
viewtopic.php?f=36&t=45059&start=30#p258862 - dhonarAspirantAll,
Not sure if this is the proper topic to post my problem, but at least I would give it a try. I am a newby and just bought A ReadyNas Ultra4. Main purpose is to store and stream data. I also would like to use the NAS for running torrents, using uTorrent. There comes my problem.
I have been able to install the software and to open the Gui. I can also download torrent files when adding a torrent, but:
* When the download is completed, I do not have any clue where to find the result
* i tried to define different paths via the Gui, but this didn't work
* I have tried the same by updating utserver.conf but also here, I don't see any result
What I would like, is how I have to define custom paths to store my torrents and the results. And I really would like to know how I could get uTorrent setup running torrents automatically when torrents are stored in a folder on the NAS.
Maybe lot's of questions but I am stuggling now for days and the manual is not helping me and on this forum I haven't found my solution.
Looking forward to any reply. - yomarkAspirantHey dhonar, just use the gui to set the paths, that should work.
Set it to something like this:
/c/media means your Media share you have by default on you readynas.
I don't know why the utserver.conf is there, but it seems that it doesn't use the config file at all, so just ignore that file. :)
The logfile present does however work.
