Many computers don't track/report them, which in the case of reallocated sectors is not a good thing.
A disk with one reallocated sectors should be watched, but is not a big concern. Netgear recommends replacement at 50. Hopefully you have email alerts turned on.
The NAS doesn't (and really can't) create these errors, they are detected and tracked by the disk itself.
