3 drive failures w/in 10 days of 4.2.22 upgrade? #19570015

Quick update: I just had a 4th drive fail - in fact, drives are failing faster than I can RMA them with Seagate. Also, a replacement drive has since failed within less than a month. This NAS has been in service for a couple years and nothing changed other than the firmware upgrade so if the recently rampant drive failures are not due to the firmware upgrade, then I am open to other root causes.
Keep in mind that the drives may not in fact be bad but 4.2.22 purports them to fail - as an experiment, I disabled the drive spindown feature because it seems from the logs that the failures are correlated with increased command latencies and exceptions in the log. With drive spindown disabled, everything was fine for a couple weeks however after reenabling it, I have had two drives purportedly fail (one new failure and one that previously failed but recovered after a power cycle).
