I have just rather belatedly updated my Ultra 6 to 4.2.22 and the device failed to reboot, instead just hanging with the blue light on and ReadyNAS showing on the display. I have six 2TB Seagate Barracuda disks installed with no previous problems reported. It now appears that Disk 2 has failed. If I rewmove this the device boots normally.
Surely these reported disk failures must be related to the Firmware Update?
EDIT POST - MY MISTAKE - Now system is up and running properly I have checked the log files and notice that warnings for the imminent failure of disc 2 had been flagged for a good week BEFORE I attempted the Firmware update. Thumbs up for Netgear, not so sure about Seagate as I seem to be reading alot about drive failures of late.
