6.5 RC on Pioneer Pro?

I have been runnning 6.x on my Pioneer Pro for a long time, and the only problem I have is that ReadyCLOUD does not work (it did earlier on, but one of the FW upgrades broke it). I also have 6.4.2 on my Ultra 2, and here ReadyCLOUD works just fine - hence I know I am not doing something wrong in the setting up.

When I look at the Cloud tab in the Admin page, the ReadyCLOUD on/off is always off, though the ReadyDROP and ReadyNAS Remote is on. I try to turn ReadyCLOUD on, but all that happens is... nothing. I log into ReadyCLOUD and see both NASes, but only the Ultra is on.

So when I read that NetGear is delivering 6.5 just about now, I get a bit exited. So my question is; has anyone tried installing the RC2 FW on a legacy ReadyNAS? Will it work?

  • Your system is now showing the correct serial number. You should be able to enable ReadyCLOUD now.

Is your serial number showing in the UI for the Pro the MAC address of eth0 or a 13-digit NETGEAR serial?

If it is the MAC address, is there a label on the back of the unit showing a 13-digit NETGEAR serial number?

That is indeed the problem; the serial number on the back is idential to the MAC address of eth0...

So there's no label with a 13-digit serial? Must be one of a batch of extremely old units then.
