Access Based Enumeration On ReadyNas Pro2

I have bought a ReadyNas Pro 2 to act as an archive server to reduce my nightly backups. We have a Windows 2003 domain. We have Access Based Enumeration activated on our current file server. Our client machines are mixture of XP and Win 7 (we are currently doing a phased roll out of Windows 7)

I have setup the share per the instructions on the website but I was just wondering if it is possible to implement something like ABE on the ReadyNas so that a user only see's the files and folders they have permission to open?

  • Did you ever find a solution. I am trying to do the same thing.
  • From what I could tell the only way to accomplish this is to use DFS namespace and turn on ABE for the root namespace. Have not tried it yet but I am going to. Did you ever find another solution?
