Access C folder
How does one access the C folder on a ReadyNAS 3100 out of the box? I thought the default username and password for Frontview (admin - netgear1) would do it but it does not.

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserIt does on the Pro-6. What firmware are you running?
Did you try to access this with Windows Explorer, or some other way? - skeebozeAspirantWindows explorer. Running firmware 4.2.23
- StephenBGuru - Experienced Userok. My pro is a bit down-rev (4.2.20). But I don't think this would have changed.
Entering \\NASNAME into windows explorer with my Pro's admin credentials includes an additional c share in the normal share list. Browsing there (or entering \\pro\c) gives me all the folders on the volume (including home, .iscsi, .timemachine, and lost+found). Also, I can see aquota.group and aquota.user - skeebozeAspirantI can see the C folder but I just can't access it. \\NASNAME
Credentials nasname\admin
PW: netgear1 - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserAnd you haven't changed the admin password on the 3100?
- skeebozeAspirantNo, I just want to pull my files from my old NAS to my new NAS and then restore the config from the old to the new.
- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserI guess I don't know what is wrong then. Those are the correct admin credentials
What happens if you migrate the config first? - skeebozeAspirantI'll have 2 NAS on my network conflicting with one another.
- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserOne could adjust the name and IP address to work around that.
- skeebozeAspirantTrue
