Access problem with rsync backup
Hi all, first of all I have to say I'm new in the world of NAS and backup protocolls... Sorry in advanced when I ask boring questions. I'm using a RN102 with OS6.2 and try to do a backup via rsy...

I am assuming the backup folder on the v1 is a share.
select the share listing, then click on the cifs icon. After that, select the advanced options tab on the upper right.
Set the owner/group to nobody/nogroup. Then set the rights on the next three rows to read/write. Click the checkbox next to "Set ownership and permission for existing files and folders in this share to the above settings.", and click "apply" at the bottom right. The check box will clear. After a while, there will be a pop-up telling you the action is complete.
Then check the files and see if you can access them.
If this works, the problem will recur everything you update the backup. One way to prevent that is to run the rsync job on the duo v1. Make sure the checkbox at the very bottom of the backup job ("After backup is complete, change ownership of files in the backup destination to the share owner") is checked.
An alternative way is to set the owner/group to "admin/admin" on both the RN102 and the duo v1.
