A filing OS partition can cause loss of frontview, as can a very heavy CPU load. Corruption in the OS partition is another possibility.
I suggest contacting support (the pro warranty is 5 years, so if you are the original purchaser you likely are still entitled to support). Use the email method at support.netgear.com.
