Blinking red LED after installing new HDD
Hi guys!
Hopefully some one can help me out. Installed a new 6TB hdd yesterday with no issues, rebuilding & resyncing went fine, LED was flashing blue during this.
Installed another 6TB today & i’m getting a red flashing LED, however the display is still saying rebuilding. When I access the admin page there are no errors being shown it just says the volume is rebuilding.
I shall wait until the rebuild & resync has completed but until then can anyone shed light on what a flashing red led indicates?
Also will it have an impact on any data, as this 6TB drive is replacing a 3TB one but if this one is faulty I will technically be 3TB down.
Thanks for any help in advance!

Do you know what which LED this is? The hardware manual might help, see pages 116-118 here: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-100/ReadyNAS_%20OS6_Desktop_HM_EN.pdf
Per the manual, it's normal for the disk LED to be red while the disk is being synced. You can download the log zip file, and look at the SMART stats in disk_info.log if you like.

Sorry should have been a bit clearer, it was the disc activity led.
I was under the impression a red led indicated a fault, as the disc I did prior was flashing blue when re-building/re-syncing.
But the volume has been re-built & re-synced with no issues. So all is good! Thanks for the info.
