It was a static address, but changed that to a "virtual" address (e.g. from "192.168.0.xxx" to "home network_nas") in winxp sp3 well before the router failure. Reason was that each time the power failed and the router rebooted, the NAS got a new IP address. Not so "static" when the power went out. But the browsers can't connect using the current device IP address. In any event it was working - somewhat - yesterday. At least Frontview would load. Today, not so much. Now I can't even get to Frontview.
