Can't create backup job involving USB drive on 6.2.3/6.2.4
Some have run into an unfortunate bug in the 6.2.3/6.2.4 releases of ReadyNAS OS regarding backup jobs involving a USB device.

Attempting to configure a backup job from or to a USB device will lead to being unable to continue in the job creation.
Clicking the "Next" button will not continue.
As a work around, please configure a false job from one share to another.
This will allow you to click the "Next" button and proceed through the job creation wizard.
Then click the "Back" button.
Reconfigure the job with the USB device.
Click "Finish" to confirm the job settings.
The backup job has successfully been created.

- nikowebAspirantGood morning, I had the same problem, I can not use the advanced options "remove deleted files on the target" This is useful for creating a bachup exactly equal to readynas. If you do not use when I delete a file on readynas remains on target. For example, if I move a few files of a new cartel, the destination will find both the original files you copy them to the new folder.
Does anyone know how to solve the problem? Thank you. - StephenBGuru - Experienced User
use rsync as the backup protocol - specifying localhost (127.0.0.1) as the IP address.nikoweb wrote: Good morning, I had the same problem, I can not use the advanced options "remove deleted files on the target" This is useful for creating a bachup exactly equal to readynas. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYou can use the workaround or upgrade to 6.2.5-RC1: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=154&t=78866
