Change from Mirroring
I have a ReadyNAS Duo v2. Then I originally purchased the unit I installed two 3GB hard drives and switched off mirroring to allow me access to the full 6TB. When I was burning in the NAS one of the two drives failed. No problem as I hadn't put any data on the NAS. While waiting for the RMA and replacement drive I continued to move data to the NAS. When the replacement drive arrived I installed it and the system switched mirroring! I need the full 6TB, any suggestions on how to switch mirroring off and go to JBOD or the like? Thanks!

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee Retired1. Backup data
2. Do a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) either via the boot menu (http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/boot/how_do_i_use_the_boot_menu) or via the Dashboard.
3. Discover NAS in RAIDar (http://www.readynas.com/downloads), click setup and choose Flex-RAID and select the JBOD RAID level.
Do note that whether you use RAID or not you should backup important data primarily stored on the ReadyNAS regularly e.g. to a USB disk, another NAS, the cloud or some place else.
