Changing systems
Currently, I have a ReadyNAS NV+ on my 3 Windows XP Pro computer network.
My "clients" are files from many on the 3 PCs across the Windows network.
I am contemplating changing all this to Windows 7 64 bit PCs - probably opting for the Professional version.
I would like to use a similar setup on the new machines. I am aware that there could be problems with drivers
and would appreciate advice on connecting the NAS to a new network on he new PCs.
(1) Do I need new drivers for the NAS ?
(2) Can I retain the existing setup and just "plug-in" to the new PCs network ?
(3) I would like to keep some of the (XP) files in the "client" files, which I think I shall have to setup afresh
on the new machines. Is this practical ?
(4) My router - D-Link DSL-G624M -- 2 desktops connected by LAN and laptop by wireless - I shall retain.
I shall of course, have to setup a network on Windowss 7 etc
Any help - and details of a similar experience - will be greatly appreciated.

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserYou should be able to simply replace the XP machines, and create the same logon with the new Win 7 machines. No need for new drivers in the NAS, all your current data will still there.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYou should ensure you are running the latest RAIDiator firmware (currently 4.1.8: http://www.readynas.com/RAIDiator_4_1_8_Notes)
