Changing Time Machine settings resets admin password

When enabling or disabling the global Time Machine feature my RN716 with 6.9.2 somewhat forgets the admin password. The popup dialog comes up but does not accept the previously accepted password. Resetting the password via ssh and "passwd admin" resolves the problem.

    Hi Campus,

     

    I just tried this on our end but I did not encounter that same issue with 6.9.2. Can you reproduce the issue and then download the NAS system logs afterwards? Please upload it to a file sharing site and then PM me the download link.

      Hi,

       

      This is always reproducible. PM with link is sent.

      In addition, setting the admin password later via web UI fails although I'd entered all required information in the available fields.

    Changing the password that way probably won't stick. After doing that you should try changing the admin password using the GUI again. A change using the GUI should stick.
