Default to RAID 5 after factory reset?
I am a relative novice in these matters and would appreciate some help. I have a ReadyNAS 104 with 3 x 3TB WD Red drives- I have been experiencing the freezing widely reported here after exceeding 70...
Xraid is the one to use, effectively it is raid 5 wth your setup.
5.45tb is your volume size and that is correct. 3tb disks are about 2.7tb, manufacturers use a different unit of measurement.
Are you sure you did a factory default?
Are any shares listed?
Have you rebooted the Nas since the factory default?
What you may need to do is delete the current volume and recreate it if rebooting doesn't work. If that fails, contact support.
