Duo V2 - Admin Password
Today I removed the old disk (had only one) from my Duo v2 and added two 2TB disks (WD20EARX). Entered the boot menu and chose the Factory default boot mode.
5 hours later RAIDar showed that the sync process successfully finished, so I tried to "setup" the NAS.
However accessing the setup wizard is not possible - it asks for admin credentials, I enter "admin" as user name and "netgear1" as password, but that doesn't get accepted.
I noticed that it was automatically upgraded to firmware 5.3.6 - was the default admin password changed?
Since I couldn't access the setup wizard, I switched off, entered the boot menu again, this time chose the OS reinstall boot mode. A few minutes later I tried it again, but still admin/netgear1 is not accepted.
What's wrong? What can I do?
Additional information: the former was done from my Mac running 10.8.2 with Safari. I tried Firefox, accepted the self-signed-certificate, entered "admin"/"netgear1" - error authentication not accepted.
I tried to access the NAS from my iPad, but it doesn't even show the credentials dialog - I guess because it won´t trust the self-signed cert.

- feshAspirantUps, this thread should go to "Installation and Upgrade", since I don't have problems with booting. My Duo v2 boots fine and I can mount the network volume on my Mac - I just can't change the settings since the admin credentials are not accepted.
- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserIf you have a duo v2, the default password is not "netgear1" - it is "password"

Yes the Duo v2 automatically updates the firmware when you do a factory default. - feshAspirantOK, thanks. Works now - after another factory reset necessary to get Flex-RAID (I wanted RAID-0).
