Duo V2 - Password recovery
I am trying to reset the password for my Duo V2 (2x1Tb), as I seem to be unable to log into the system. I have requested a password reset from the website (ip/password_recovery) but have not received an email after 2 requests and 2 days.
I am trying to do a factory reset, by the process outline in the website. Hold reset, power on, wait for LED lights, but the USB and backup status LED never lights up. How long should I be holding the reset button? I have held it for more than 2 min, but still the LED does not light up. Am I doing something wrong?
Any help would be appreciated.

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredDon't do a factory default as that wipes your data.
Try an OS Re-install which will reset the admin password and leave your data intact.
Sounds like you may have a v1 not a v2 so try the v1 procedure. - halifamousAspirantIt is labelled V2 on the bottom, buts I will look and see. I am not worried about the data, as I have it elsewhere and am setting it up for a different purpose.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredSounds like you have a v1 hardware revision 2: http://www.rnasguide.com/2012/01/09/how-to-tell-whether-i-have-a-duo-v1-or-duo-v2-or-nv-v1-or-nv-v2/
If you do a factory reset and NAS is running RAIDiator 4.1.6 or earlier update the firmware and do another factory default. - halifamousAspirantThanks for the link. It is a V1, but as stated in the link you gave, it says on the Bottom ReadyNAS Duo RND2000 v2, which according to the link is a V1.
Who knows what I have intitated with what I did using the V2 procedure. :).
Will proceed with the V1 procedure and see what I can get done. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIf you continue holding in the reset button for over 50 seconds it wouldn't do a factory default, I think so if you powered the NAS off then on again it would be how it was before.
