I've taken my old server offline and replaced with a new one and as a result, had 4x500GB hard drives knocking about. So, I decided to order a RN104 as I've used a number of ReadyNAS devices before. ...
Try a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) via the boot menu. If that doesn't work, hook the drives up to a PC, delete the partitions and try again. The NAS will format the disk.
