Error putname+64 & strlen+10 on RN104 after upgrading to 6.9.1 when doing aggregation eth0+eth1
I upgraded my RN104 system from 6.4.1 to 6.5.2 and then directly to ReadyNAS OS 6.9.1, everithing worked fine, but because I had to do a OS Reinstall while on 6.4.1 to revcover my password. Teh I ha...

Hello, today I were able to update the FW to the ReadyNAS to 6.9.3 and I were able to do the Link Aggregation again. I used the option for the Adaptative Load Balancing and it worked fine. I just had a minor problem the 1st time I asked the RAIDar to open the Adminstratior web page, something was wrong and I had to manually put 192.168.0.114/admin/ so it worked perfectly.
I have one question about something that was mentioned in this thread: how much can I expect in average in performamce improvement by using the new functions implemented by Netgear ? (I understand that to get this advantage I have t reformat all volumes and reload the data)
Best Regards, Flavio

There were issues in bonding in 6.9.0, though I don't recall if they exactly matched your symptoms.
Can you live without the bonding for a while?

Hello Stephen, thank you for the reply. Yes I can survive without the bonding for some time despite the lower performance when transfering a lot of files.
Is there something I can supply to help the debug of this problem ?
Best regards,

I tried to create a bond several times now and everytime the system crashes. It would be really important for me to use bonding. Is it possible to create a bond via ssh without the web interface? Are there chances creating a bond would suceed when doing it this way?

What firmware are you running? What bonding mode are you trying to use?
FWIW, on an RN100 series there is little benefit with bonding - the CPU is the bottleneck, not the network.

My current firmware is 6.9.2 and the bonding mode was "Adaptive Load Balancing". But I don't think, the bonding mode makes any difference cause I also tried other modes with the same result.
