Are you trying to use rsync, or rsync over ssh?
Have you checked that rsync is enabled on the remote server?

well the idea was with SSH but we started with simple RSYNG, on the remote server it is active as the support from the hosting company confirms. And for theh SSH they imported the SSH Key but even with that done we get the error to connect, what are we missing?

It might be easier to troubleshoot this if you use the linux command line instead of the NAS backup job. Once you get the basic folder copying working, it should be pretty easy to get the NAS backup job to work.
There a lot of things that could be wrong.

Thank you, I made sure there is a trailing slash and no initial one, but no change, still error in connection
