Absolutely, except I have tried to skip the volume check and it still won't start.
I hold down the power button as I'm turning it on for 5 seconds( I see all the LED light up in a long flash once) then the RAIDAR software shows it at 100% FS complete immediately however it still won't boot up.
I am now slowly going though each drive one by one and checking to see if there is one that is bad. This is a very slow process to run the extended test on each drive.
What do if I find one of the drives bad? Start up the NAS without that drive? Put in a brand new drive in place of that broken drive,etc...?
If a drive has fail, it still should start up with the remaining good drive and inform you that a drive has failed.
Thanks.
