I have worked with support to checked on the status. It looks like based on the errors that you are getting, we are going going to need the unit in tech support mode.
The “Firmware update failed verifying flash.” error that you are getting is a sign of the internal flash did not get imaged correctly. This might be caused by the hardware or software, and we will need to investigate why that message came up.
The tech support mode, or telnet mode is a low level diagnostic option to allow our support/engineers to investigate what is happening when the unit is not able to boot up all the way.
You were mentioning it is behaving differently. Are you able to access the nas? If you are not able to access the NAS, the tech support mode will load another OS that may have different results to your network/RAIDar.

No I have no access... no ping, no RAIDar, not seen on my net.
OK so if I use the boot options do I go to TFTP at the 10 sec mark or do I go to Tech Support Mode at the 15 sec mark. AND, once I place the box in that state, then what??
AND, why is none of this in my case file?
Thanks for being the intermediary between me and tech support. ALSO, will any of these actions touch my data, I do not want that lost.
