OK, did a start up into tech support mode (LED flash #3 at the 15 sec mark). The box settled into a blue power button bright-dim-bright-dim. After 5 ins of this I tried RAIDar and it did not see the box (BTW, RAIDar was working fine as it sees my other NAS boxes).
So, step two: I tried to power down with the hold blue power button, but it would not shut down. So I pulled the power plug. I next pulled the two drives and attempted to enter tech support mode again.
Did a start up and waited for it to settle. This time the blue power light did multiple blinks and eventually settled into the same bright-dim-bright-dim sequence. RAIDar does not see it, and it is not ping-able at its reserved IP. However, when I check the router for what's on the LAN, I saw a device at a new address I'd not seen before. It is ping-able. If I pull the network cable from the NAS that address is no longer ping-able. So I take this address to be the NAS box. However, it is not seen by RAIDar.
Stand by for step three as I port forward.
