Firmware Upgrade to ReadyNAS NV+

I have download instructions for the TFTP Boot Recovery process which tech support guided me to use on my pre-Netgear Infrant ReadyNAS NV+
The firmware was supposed to be updated from the current version 3.01c1-p6 to Raidiator 4.1.8.
I downloaded the tftpd32.exe and accompanying files and the RAIDiator-4.1.8 file and went through the tftpd32.exe procedure.
The NAS LED showed a successful image.
I did a factory reset, to a flexible RAID 5 configuration and I figure that worked since the LED indicated it was happening and my drives ended up clean of the previous data.
But the firmware didn't upgrade.
When I ran tfttpd32.exe there didn't seem to be a place where I indicated which firmware file to use. In the same directory were the RAIDiator 3 and RAIDiator 4 files.
The RAIDiator-4.1.8 file I downloaded was in a directory 1 level up.

I would most appreciate your thoughts on how to proceed.
