Getting Error 0x80070027: Disk is full
Hi I just installed my ReadyNAS NV+ V2. I'm trying to copy all my music from my PC to the NAS, but I'm getting the error message 0x80070027 all the time and when I just push try again it continues withou problems. Every time I do something on my PC like starting a new program or a simple command i get this error. I also get it when not doing anything else on my computer, just letting the copyjob run.
Its rather frustrating, I cant sit and babywatch the copy job for like 60Gb of data.
My 2x 2TB disks are newly installed and completely empty, so its not the space. In addition i think the copy process is rather slow, im just getting 9 Mb/sec. So is there a way to improve this in addition to an errorfree copy?

- sphardy1ApprenticeThe router is the cause of this issue:
However, my transmission rate is still only 8 MB/sec which i think is rather slow. When I connected the NAS directly to my PC i got 22 MB/sec.
Anyone know how to improve the rate? I'm using a Jensen Airlink 89300 as router to my NAS.
Don't know about the error 0x80070027, but if that also 'disappears' with a direct connection, then you have to suspect the router also - efxiAspirantI have had the same problem twice. If I start a copy/move process again from Windows XP it usually completes. Just getting started with my unit -- I'll document more later if the problem persists. I'll try with Windows 7 / 64-bit too.
- Windows XP
- Linksys E3000 Gigabit Router (wired)
- Dell 2824 24-port Gigabit Switch
- Netgear Duo v2 w/2xWestern Digital RE4-GP 2TB drives / FlexRaid (Raid1)
- Approx 100MB/s read, 40-50MB/s write performance
Copying big 1GB files. Nothing small. And yes, there's plenty of free space on the NAS. - KaptenSAspirantI had the same problem. I have a GB net. When I used old cat5 cables i got "disk full". I changed my cables to cat6 and the problem disappeared.
- JaG1AspirantHi!
I have copied my MP3 files, and had the same problem. Finished, by patience...
When trying to make a copy of the folder on the NAS, I get the same fault. As I see it, the problem must be in the NAS. How can it be solved? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredJaG, have you tried a direct-connection with a known working Cat5e or newer ethernet cable? See http://sphardy.com/web/directconnect
I would suggest you contact NetGear tech support (http://www.readynas.com/support) for assistance on troubleshooting the issue.
Welcome to the forum! - XhypoAspirantI have Gb network connected with Cat6 cables. The error occurs to me when doing;
a.) Copying files from computer to NAS
b.) Copying files from USB memorystick to NAS connected directly into the NAS.
c.) Copying files from one folder to another folder on the NAS.
This tells me that this is not a network issue. The filesizes is also irrelevant. - StephenBGuru - Experienced User
You must be doing (b) and (c) over the network though, since otherwise you would not be getting a Windows error. Which means that the data is being copied to your PC and then back to the NAS.Xhypo wrote: I have Gb network connected with Cat6 cables. The error occurs to me when doing;

It looks to me (from the several posts I've seen on this) that it is an error in the NAS, but that it is likely network related (perhaps a bug in the CIFS stack). - XhypoAspirantJust letting you know that I no longer have the problem. This may have been a classic 'PEBCAK' thing :oops:
I may have forgot to make a 'user" on the NAS with the proper read/write permissions.
I solved it by creating a user, and then logged on the NAS like this: \\<name_of_NAS>\username
Copying files to the NAS is now working like a charm with steady 40MB/s write. Readspeed is about 70MB/s.
I have now copied about 1,5TB onto the NAS with no problems what so ever :) No need to use Jumboframes either.. - JaG1AspirantLogged on my user (r/w access) as described by Xhypo. Unfortunately it didn't work so well for me. When I tried to make a copy of my MP3-folder on the NAS the fault message showed up immediately :(
I will now contact Netgear Tech support. - Nutty667AspirantWhy would setting up a user account, instead of going through the Everyone account make things faster, or solve a file/network issue ?
Doesn't make any sense to me. I had the same issue on my Duo V2 copying a large file, but I've not had it since. Seems to me likes it a firmware bug.
