Getting Error 0x80070027: Disk is full
Hi I just installed my ReadyNAS NV+ V2. I'm trying to copy all my music from my PC to the NAS, but I'm getting the error message 0x80070027 all the time and when I just push try again it continues withou problems. Every time I do something on my PC like starting a new program or a simple command i get this error. I also get it when not doing anything else on my computer, just letting the copyjob run.
Its rather frustrating, I cant sit and babywatch the copy job for like 60Gb of data.
My 2x 2TB disks are newly installed and completely empty, so its not the space. In addition i think the copy process is rather slow, im just getting 9 Mb/sec. So is there a way to improve this in addition to an errorfree copy?

- awkAspirantI have been doing some tests here and it seems the low transfer speeds and “disk full” error DO NOT happen if it is connected to my Netgear 24 port Gigabit switch with also at least Cat 5e cables (or higher) connected from Nas to switch and switch to pc (pc must also have a Gigabit NIC card installed)
Don't run it through your router!
I am wondering if it is NOT on a Gigabit set up it creates a bottleneck and then gives the problems!? - nordicnatureAspirantworking around the same problem as well.
NAS was connected to my fritzbox router before. Switched over to an 8port Netgear switch (GS108). This reduced only the amount of error messages. Error still occurs.
Any admin out there reading this???
--> I do not buy NAS Systems not to copy (large amount) of files to the system!!! And I am not supposed to sit in front of my PC monitoring the system while it is copying. I really do not understand that an error that is inflicting a major functionality of the system and that obviously occurs since more than a year could not be solved so far.
Anyone taking care of the community forum??? I am p.... - awkAspirant

Have you made sure "everything" you are using is cat 5e (or greater) and that the NIC card in your pc is "Gigabit"
Like I said, when I changed everything to Gigabit I got no more errors and faster transfer speed. (have you checked the ports on your switch are confiqured properly?) - sgpearmanAspirantAnother readynas duo v2 user here with the exact same error. Just setup the NAS and started copying my files from my PC to NAS (about 1TB). I'm keeping an eye on it via RDP from work, and having seen the previous posts I'll be connecting both PC & NAS to my switch. I think I have the NAS connected to a 1Gb port, and my PC to a 100Mb port. So this may be producing MTU issues if both are set to auto/auto.
I'll post feedback when I pop home for lunch :) - coswosereAspirantJust to add to the weight of numbers ... I too have the problem. I've only recently installed the NAS and spent the first month trying to get the "free" Memeo licence to activate. Then I tried to copy my library of pictures to the NAS and hit the same issue. I've upgraded to firmware v 5.3.4.
- sgpearmanAspirantOk, I ended up connecting both NAS and PC in to 1Gb switch ports (same switch), transferring at 42MBps (336Mbps). Thats maxing out my HDD read speeds on my PC. :D
Transferring 160GB of TV Shows on to the NAS, and so far (125GB) no write or disk full errors. - jontrevAspirant+1 here. Duo v2, Win 7 64bit, same error. Awaiting solution, please. Not about to invest in new router/switches.

Do you have a stand alone switch? I think the problem only occurs when there is a port mismatch. E.g pc on 100mb and nas on 1gb. If you can put them both into a single switch with the same port speeds it should solve the problem.
It has to be some sort of MTU/port issue in my opinion. Would be nice to have the ability to hard-code the nas Ethernet port. My profession is wide area networks, and we see this issue all day long! If clients connect their device with an auto/auto (speed/duplex) setting then we see loads of packet loss. Although the auto/auto has correctly negotiated, when it's manually set it fixes the problem! Any business users with efm & fibre internet circuits would be familiar with this. - m0n5terAspirantI am a long-time user of Readynas products and have a Duo, NV+ and now NV+ V2./ The V2 is a disaster. Every time I move large numbers of files (500 files, 500Gb) I get lots of Disk Full errors, typically 10% of file copies fail with this error even though Beyond Compare ploughs on and copies more files after errors occur. Clearly the disk is not full. I never get this problem with the Duo or the NV+. All the cables are Cat5e and the PC (Windows 7, Sandybridge i7 8Gb RAM) and the Readynas are connected via the same Gigabit switch, not a router.
Also, the NV+ V2 goes AWOL frequently, disappering off my network for no apparent reason. It won't then appear on RAIDar not will it repond to shutdown via the front pannel - I then have to resort to cutting it's throat by pulling out the power cord. This product does not seem to be market-ready!! Oh, and yes, it is fully up to date with firmway upgrades.
Any suggestions, especiaslly from Netgear personnel, would be welcome.
Phil - sgpearmanAspirantAgreed! The v2 clearly isn't ready, all seem to be doing is finding work arounds to problems that shouldn't exist! I have no idea how a regular user would deal with these problems - I expect we're all technical. This is the reason why NAS isn't mainstream!
NETGEAR - Please can you acknowledge there's a problem?
Would it help of we all detailed hardware & software versions? I'd like to know if you're doing something to fix this :)
