Ghost files - Re-scan scheduling

Hey Guys

I read a post on here about ghost files that a TV can see using DLNA, that you have to rescan to get rid of them.

So my question is there a way of of scheduling a rescan on the DLNA rather than it set to Auto as i am finding this a problem that it doesn’t scan an update enough, as i move files and delete them quite allot

Regards

John

  • The ReadyNAS DLNA system has a default scan time of 900 seconds (every 15 minutes), this can be changed using SSH and say, putty, at /etc/minidlna.conf you can also change the "friendly" name of your DLNA server.

The auto scan is likely better at adding new files than it is at removing deleted files.

One possibility is to be able to set up a schedule for a full rescan.  That would be a new feature, so maybe post it to the idea exchange.
