Help - Made error in giving static IP Address
Hi
My NAS Duo 2 seemed to have a bit of a wobble and I was unable to see it from my laptop of access it with the radair software.
I carried out what I believe was a software reboot and then read that the your should allocate your server a static IP address, anyway I did this and have made an error and used a non valid IP meaning that I can not access the setup via a web browser meaning it is impossible to reset the ip address !!!!!
I have carried out an OS reinstall but this does not seem to have worked and I am still left with the invalid IP which just freezes the radiar software when selecting the browse button.
I removed the hard drive when I did the OS reinstall as I obviously don't want to damaged my data as I have no further backup.
I have now put it back in but have access again.
Can you please help as I have no idea what I am doing
Many thanks
Darren

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredAn OS Re-install leaves your data intact but you must have the disk(s) in the NAS for it to do anything as the OS and configuration are stored on the disk(s).
- darrenaAspirantThanks mdgm, I was obviously concerned about my data, hence removing the disc, you are sure that will not be deleted yeah?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredCorrect. An OS Re-install does not touch your data.
- darrenaAspirantnow having trouble with the login on the web browser using admin and netgear1 but no luck, also the raidar software doesn't find the nas
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThe default password for the v2 is password not netgear1. Though can you confirm which you have?: http://www.rnasguide.com/2012/01/09/how-to-tell-whether-i-have-a-duo-v1-or-duo-v2-or-nv-v1-or-nv-v2/
