Inserting 3rd drive into RN 214
I have a ReadyNAS 214 with two 4TB HGST disks in RAID 1. I bought the RN to replace a failed Seagate single-disk consumer NAS device, which is currently sitting down at the local Frys service center....

It'd be better not to use an internal slot for this, probably the best way is to use a USB->SATA adapter or the eSATA connector on the NAS (sata->esata cables are common, and disk drive power supplies are readily available also).
You could also use a linux PC that has btrfs installed.
