It's my first answer because the 4.2.13 build you're using is almost 2 years out of date and multiple changes have been made to the iSCSI support for compatibility since then.

Of course not every specific individual detail does not make it into the changelogs. However asking why iSCSI crashes when using a known build that has since had fixes, and then wondering why you're being told to upgrade seems a little odd doesn't it?
